That's obviously untrue. You could put the questions on a web page, and
provided a link to it. Surveys that ask people to spend time and then
ask invasive questions at the end, forcing a choice between abandoning
the work done so far and being invaded, are quite common. That practice
is a significant reason why I just hit delete when asked to do surveys.
Ethically, I think surveys should ask all demographics/invasive
questions first.
You should be aware that this problem biases the results.
