Hi everyone,
I am Veenit. I am enthusiastic about contributing to OpenStreetMap in GSoC
2023.
I have participated in GSoC 2021 as a Student Developer. I have contributed
to the pgRouting project under OSGeo - Open Source Geospatial Foundation.
Here's my project and work [1] and [2].
pgRouting extends the PostGIS/PostgreSQL geospatial database to provide
geospatial routing and other network analysis functionality.
While contributing to pgRouting, I came across OpenStreetMap. I used this
tool also [3]. It is an import tool for OpenStreetMap data to the pgRouting
database.
So, I have a good idea about OpenStreetMap, how it works and how we
can export its data.
I have already created an account and started mapping some features.
Currently, I am understanding and familiarizing myself with the OSM data
model and methods of mapping, development environment, etc in detail.
I am looking forward to a project around Routing in OpenStreetMap this
year, as I have expertise in C++, routing and Graph Theory and algorithms.
I would love to hear any comments and suggestions from you!
Thanks!
Veenit
