Hi Veenit,
welcome to OSM. Looks like you have already started on the right path
for GSoC. That's great.
So there are two projects in the OSM space that fit well for your
interests: Valhalla(https://github.com/valhalla/valhalla) and
OSRM(https://github.com/Project-OSRM/osrm-backend/). Both are
routing engines written in C++.
Valhalla is probably your best bet for GSOC at the moment. They have
already participated in GSOC last year, so there is a good chance they
will be back. There are also a couple of issues marked for beginners on
their issue tracker. They are always a good point to get started.
Development for OSRM is a bit slow at the moment (has been for a couple
of years in fact). So I don't think there will be any project proposals
coming from them for GSOC. You are still welcome to look around and try
it out. If there is an issue that you like to do as a GSOC project, then
let us know here or write to the GSOC admins at gsoc-orga at openstreetmap.org
and we see what we can do to find mentors.
I hope that helps.
Sarah
