It was implemented years ago but not merged because LWG were not
happy with the twitter terms and conditions. History is in:

I can't imagine the terms will have improved under the new
management and indeed twitter's importance is rapidly diminishing
so this would be a strange time to reconsider it when twitter
will likely be bust within a year or two.
