[Geocoding] Nominatim installation: ERROR: type "planet_osm_ways" does not exist

Managed to get this resolved by downgrading to Postgresql 8.3 and 
osm2psql 0.70.5 from svn repository
http://svn.openstreetmap.org/applications/utils/export/osm2pgsql-intarray/

Hopefully this can help someone else...
