That's true, the size of map data is fairly HUGE. Not world wide but for
japan only. The .pbf file is 858MB but the extracted .osm file is nerely
22GB.
I was really worried about the size of data and my relatively poor
hardware...But your tips and hints looks helpful.
Thanks Peter, I'll try it again tomorrow. Hopefully it will finally get
built up :-)
