Hey there,
from yesterday on a message regarding an agreement will appear if you
submit a pull request. It should be very easy to 'sign' this agreement
via the provided link. And as we don't enforce (yet) you to send us a
scanned copy of it, this should be done quickly. I've thought long time
about something like this, but at the end I found this nice explanation
from the chef guys:
http://www.getchef.com/blog/2009/08/11/why-we-chose-the-apache-license/
They explain why they chose the Apache License and why still a
contributor agreement is necessary. For GraphHopper this is very much
the same situation - in short: we and you should be able to do anything
with the code, we don't want to relicense your contributions at some
later point or even taking away your copyright. The main purpose of the
agreement is security for GraphHopper users regarding patents and
trademarks. And finally that every contributor agrees to the Apache License.
Let me know if you have questions or suggestions!
Kind Regards,
Peter.
