Martin and I have agreed to team up to serve as backup mentors for each
others’ projects, in case an OSM iD project and an OHM iD project both
make the cut.
I only put my name down as an interested mentor for the iD proposals
that met the requirement of having already contributed something to the
project. The other ones didn’t met the prerequisites and/or seemed to be
copy-pasta. Two of the ignored proposals came from an applicant who
reached out to me ahead of the deadline because they didn’t know making
a contribution was a prerequisite this year. I gave them the option of
submitting a draft PR ahead of the deadline so that they could finish it
before our review, but unfortunately I never saw anything from them.
Let me know if you need any other context or feedback.
