[Gsoc-orga] GS0C 2024 and Valhalla

Hi Sarah,

Sounds good. I have a smaller project idea I'd like to try this year,
something less ambitious and slightly more general (a performance
improvement idea). It should be interesting to see what kind of engagement
we get with something slightly less domain specific! I'll make a write up
soon.
