Dear Lonvia<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Lonvia>, Tordanik<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Tordanik>,
I hope you are doing well. I am interested in applying for the Modernize the 3D Model Repository project for Google Summer of Code and would like to introduce myself and discuss my proposal with you.

Open Source & Relevant Experience:
I have experience working on data-driven solutions and web-based applications. I am particularly interested in modernizing the 3D Model Repository (3DMR) by integrating glTF support and upgrading its Django-based architecture. To ensure I am well-prepared for the project, I have already set up a local copy of the existing codebase and familiarized myself with its structure.
Additionally, I have worked on projects such as a Smart Parking Assistant (real-time license plate detection and slot allocation) and a Route Optimizer (eco-friendly route suggestion using multiple factors), both of which required backend development, data processing, and optimization strategies.
Proposal Inquiry:
I would appreciate your guidance on refining my proposal and understanding the expectations for this project. Additionally, if there are specific contributions I should make before submitting my application, please let me know.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Yatharth Chopra
