Hi,
I'm currently learning Python and my goal is to pivot into Data Science.
I’m eager to explore opportunities with Google Summer of Code (GSoC) to
complement my learning.
My past experience in tech has been in product marketing at Dropbox, where
I worked closely with EPD teams to identify and define requirements. I also
have experience in SQL and would love your advice on how to best take
advantage of GSoC given my background. Would you recommend looking for a
beginner-friendly project, or is it possible to pitch my own? One area of
interest for me is mapping the acquisition of single-family homes by
private equity. Do you think that could align with any current GSoC
initiatives? Also, Would you recommend that I prioritize learning another
language in addition to Python?
I’d really appreciate any guidance you can share on how to approach the
program effectively.
Thanks,
Stephanie
