One educational (for me) note on the naming discussion. My friend, the Grammar Girl, points out that we may be warm, but not hot, on the naming: http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/historic-versus-historical.aspx
Using "Historical" would preserve Mikel's OH! or HO! options, too. : )

Please edit away in & add areas you feel are of interest.
Not sure if OSM Historic is the right name, but it seems fairly descriptive and benign. That said, now is a good time to change it, if we're going to. Please reply with any suggestions. : )
The Rails Port installation instructions have been updated, so the set up of a historic sandbox is a little closer. Hope to make more progress this week.
