[OHM] tagging unit movements

This is a great use case that I think highlights a few issues:
- Different rendering approaches for static & dynamic historical activity.
I'm not sure about this, but my current belief is that static (i.e. fixed
to the ground) things would be best suited for tiles, while dynamic (i.e.
moving) things would be better suited for another rendering approach.
Luckily, there are pretty cool technologies in place for each. I've been
focused on just getting a tiling infrastructure set up, so if anyone has
any good ideas for a dynamic rendering tool or approach, that would be
great.
- Data storage for static & dynamic historical activity. Again, I'm not
sure about this, but my belief is that we should store all of this
together. I'm thinking we should make every effort to set up an environment
that people can use to share information in ways that encourage
contribution and improvement of the existing data. Anyone have any
suggestions for appropriate data formats / schema we should try to respect
or integrate with for these events?
Thanks,
Jeff
