The fastest way to start a project is to sign up for an OHM account

#openhistoricalmap Slack <https://slack.openstreetmap.us/> or Discord
channels, and maybe do a historic task  on TeachOSM
<https://tasks.teachosm.org/contribute?difficulty=ALL&text=michigan>. We
highly recommend taking a look at www.mapwarper.net,
<http://www.mapwarper.net> too!

If you're already familiar with OpenStreetMap
<https://www.openstreetmap.org>, you should be able to get moving pretty
quickly.

Here's an example of some data that's been loaded for old Rio on OHM
<https://www.openhistoricalmap.org/#map=14/-22.9023/-43.1940&layers=O>. It
needs more work, so don't hesitate to start adding to it!

Our project is still in development, so please don't hesitate to let us
know how we can make it better.
