Transferring this message to make sure that everyone here is aware of
this initiative.

Andrej had opened new ground within UN-OCHA last year by actively
engaging with the "Volunteer and Technical Communities", including HOT,
for the crisis in Libya (An outcome of this was Libya Crisis Map).

HOT is among the initial members of the Digital Humanitarian Network.

Best wishes,

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce the launch of the Digital Humanitarian
Network (a network-of-networks). The purpose of this initiative is to
leverage digital networks in support of 21st century humanitarian
response. More specifically, the aim of Digital Humanitarians is to
provide an interface between formal, professional humanitarian
organizations and informal yet skilled-and-agile volunteer & technical
networks. More information available at: http://digitalhumanitarians.com

For more details on things like why this network was created, the
current network members, and how activation occurs, kindly see the
initial blog post: /What is the Digital Humanitarian Network?

Please forward to your respective networks and also share via Twitter,
FB, etc. (#DHNetwork)
