[HOT] China quake in Sichuan

Sev & Mike were asking about the china quake. I took a quick look and have set up a wiki page. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/2013_Lushan_earthquake (same name wikipedia's given it)
But it's not a drop-everything activation I don't think. <200 deaths. This is not another Haiti.
My guess is, this is similar to the Yushu earthquake of 2010. A few small towns / villages in this mountainous area would be the worst effected, where people have died and aid will be delivered by the chinese authorities, but the death toll is low, and we don't have hi-res imagery of those areas.
As I've said on the wiki page, there's some potential to improve the mapping on Chengdu city. But this was only mildly shaken by the quake. Can someone confirm why there appear to be deleted patches of the road network there? (needs analysis of an old planet file I think) I guess it was the redaction bot.
Harry

We then look at the quality of data in OSM, and available resources, like Bing imagery, other existing data sets, new satellite imagery. And, crucially presence of local community, and requests for up to date base map data.

>My sense right now is that we're going to start by informal discussion on the HOT mailing list (http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot), and probably some folks will start in with tracing. If you have any specific needs or requests for base map tiles or data for any project or initiative, please get in touch, directly with me or on list.

>>Dear CrsisMappers:
>>
>>
>>The earthquake happened last night around 8pm EST, with millions of people in short of food, water and shelter now. Ushahidi, HOT, Google Person Finder, ICT, etc. things we talk about everyday and work on, have saved thousands of peoples lives in mega-disasters in places/countries where possibly easier to work in some situations. However, at this moment any humanitarian mapping group that can help with anything are very much appreciated. And all the suggestions I will repost on Chinese twitter - Weibo (http://www.weibo.com/) - to authorities and Departments concerned. For those who have Weobo account please add me GIS地信前沿 or at this link: http://www.weibo.com/geomaps. Thank you very much for everything.
