Hi,

As an experienced mapper, I think these 3 suggestions have hit the nail
on the head.

Just to expand on these a little;

1). A % of confidence or completion may be an answer, together with a
date of completion. As more satellite imagery becomes available it is
then possible to go back over the squares completed at an earlier stage.
I am aware of at least 2 squares where I attempted with at least 8
satellite sources, but was unable to trace all buildings with the
available data.

2/. Links - I agree, but would like this expanded.
I don't know how the teams on the ground will feed info back into the
system, but imagine that it could include scans of walking papers with
hand written notes for adding to the data. These could be uploaded &
used from the tasking manager.
GPS traces. I don't think there will be many of these available, but if
some people are taking Garmin maps out, they may have a trace that could
be fed back into the system & we should make use of this to best effect
- OSM strips off any waypoint info, so just the trace remains. If our
volunteer has created a waypoint showing where a village really is, and
what it's name is, we should not lose that data. They may also have
waypoints showing other info such as drinking water supplies, aid
distribution points, road blockages etc. etc..

3/. Source tags - agree 100%

Thanks for reading
