Forwarding links to more imagery by CNES, distributed by Astrium, and
hosted by ESRI.

Thousands (literally !) thanks to all, and also for the revolution that
this public license Charter Pleiades represents !

For once, I do hope that big ears are listening...

Hello all -- just an update to the imagery email from yesterday I sent.
We've made 2 scenes available for public use, including the OSM
community, etc thanks to Astrium. Here are a few links to help you get
started:

Web services for inclusion into your maps and apps:
http://disasterresponse.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8e2d1255f8234af6b9dce3672f7b3402

Web map with the imagery included:
http://disasterresponse.maps.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=8e2d1255f8234af6b9dce3672f7b3402

Swipe map application of before and after imagery, GIS data resources
and other maps for damage, etc are here:
http://www.esri.com/services/disaster-response/hurricanes/typhoon-hayian-yolanda-maps

Please let us know if the Esri Disaster Response Program can help in any
way! Look forward to seeing you all in Nairobi next week. Safe travels!

Ryan

Dear Guido et al.,

Glad you're finding the Tomnod crowdsourced data useful. Each of the
points in the KMZ (updated version was posted last night
<http://mapperdev.tomnod.com/results/crowdrank_haiyantyphoon2013.kmz>)
has an attached JPG showing the destruction at that location.

Unfortunately we're only able to distribute the full before/after image
dataset to FirstLook customers.

However, as Christiaan recently noted on a separate thread, Google has
been given access to a lot of DigitalGlobe's post-event imagery and it's
available for viewing on the Google Crisis Map
<http://www.google.org/crisismap/2013-yolanda?hl=en&llbox=11.765%2C9.603%2C125.75%2C122.41&t=CUSTOM&layers=16%2C18%2C19%2Clayer3%2Clayer4%2Clayer5%2C17%2Clayer6%2Clayer8%2Clayer9%2Clayer10%2C2%2C11%3A100%2C12%3A100%2C13%3A100%2C8%3A100%2Clayer2%3A100%2C4%3A100%2C6%3A100%2C10%3A100%2C9%2C14%2C5%2C7>.
Thanks to the folks at Google.org for making this happen.

As new images come in, we'll continue to push out updates to the
CrowdRank results.

Luke

        Good Afternoon Luke,

thanks for sharing - this is great.

Is there any chance you could share for public usage the Images
of the before/after mapping anaylsis done by DigitalGlobe?

        Cheers,

Thanks for sharing it under a CC license. I really
appreciate the gesture. We will try to work with it ASAP.

                Dear CrisisMappers,

Thanks for all the positive feedback and, in particular,
thanks to everyone who has contributed to the
                crowdsourcing campaign
                <http://www.tomnod.com/nod/challenge/haiyantyphoon2013/>. More
than 1,000 people have covered 18 DigitalGlobe satellite
images and identified thousands of damaged sites. We're
adding new images to Tomnod as they become available.

The most recent CrowdRank results are available here in
                KMZ format
                <http://mapperdev.tomnod.com/results/crowdrank_haiyantyphoon2013.kml>. The
data is provided 'as is' under the creative commons
attribution license so please make use of it as you
will. We've received many, many requests for the data so
I'm really looking forward to seeing all the ways that
it is put to use and to working with you all to figure
out the best workflows for future events.

For an overview of DigitalGlobe's response and some
compelling before/after imagery, see this link
