[HOT] landuse=residential in iD

Is there a way to tag an area with this easily?

Is it possible to set up iD with fewer choices for highways or roads as it
calls them?  ie trim it back to highway=unclassified, or path or track
which would cove 95% of the cases for new HOT mappers?
