[HOT] How to fully cover a grid square

Michael,
I've just been wishing for a grid, too. One that can be turned on and off so it's not in the way. 
Or the alphabet on the left, numbers on the bottom to sort of grid it like a street map.
I do two things: look along geographical areas that already have buildings (that's my focus)
The other is to do the boundaries of a tile and then work in in a systematic way—like top to bottom starting on the left.
