Happy December! We have lots moving in the iD editor project.

📷 OpenStreetCam

Last month, I released iD v2.5.0 (November 10, 2017), which includes support for OpenStreetCam. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should really check out how easy it is to work with street level imagery in iD.

👩‍🎓 New Help text coming soon

I recently merged a big pull request to iD, contributed by Manfred Brandl, to overhaul the internal help texts. The good news is that it replaces those giant blocks of markdown text with short headings and texts which will be much easier to translate and maintain going forward. The bad news is that it means all of that old help text needs to be translated again…

If you can translate, I need your help!

You don’t need to be a programmer - if you speak another language in addition to English, you can do this! Please log into the iD project on Transifex, https://www.transifex.com/openstreetmap/id-editor/dashboard/ <https://www.transifex.com/openstreetmap/id-editor/dashboard/> and check the languages that are available for translation. And share this info with *anyone* who you know that might want to get involved!
