Greetings everyone,

We have now activated for the Puebla Earthquake. The first project on http://tasks.hotosm.org (#3597) now and are coordinating with Miriam on further mapping tasks.

The mapper response to the (I think I count 6 separate events in the past month now: 2 hurricanes, 2 floods and now 2 earthquakes) has been incredible; we ask you to continue helping us provide critical data for response and aid agencies to provide services as quickly and efficiently as possible. Stay tuned to the Tasking Manager or the wiki-pages here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team#Current_Remote_Mapping_Actions

Thank you to everyone mapping and coordinating the response!

Subject: [HOT] Puebla, Mexico - 7.1 earthquake

Dear all

Mexico recently experienced a 7.1 earthquake affecting Puebla and Mexico City.

https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us2000ar20#executive

Shaking was felt strongly and there is fairly significant damage in Puebla and Mexico City.

Enrique Zapata, General Director of Open Data from the Office of the President of Mexico made a request for post event imagery donations. I discussed with Miriam Gonzalez OSM Mexico (cc) a few minutes ago and will follow up as we learn how we can best assist response.

Thank you to all of you who are already helping with Hurricane Maria, Bangladesh Floods, and the Oaxaca Mexico earthquake response.

Tyler
