In Merkaartor, you click on the relation, which is represented by a dotted
outline around all of its members. In the case of parking lots it's
relatively simple, but you have to be careful to make sure the dotted
outline is highlighted and not the way. Takes some mouse dexterity, but
there's no "second dialog".
In JOSM, it looks like you have to open a separate dialog.
Now that I've tried the three, I think I might actually like Merkaartor the
best. I'll have to play around with it to see if I can avoid switching back
and forth between Merkaartor and Potlatch. Now if only someone could build
a fast tile server for the USGS high resolution orthoimagery, so I wouldn't
have to constantly wait so long for the WMS server.
