Do you think OSM should support a map where every single individual
contributor is required to be credited in the way they like?

It's nothing like that, since I can fork the data and call it whatever I like.

And some of these issues are why OSM is moving to ODbL.

Remember, OSM is not a collection of data, but a unified single data set.
