I've been working on a specialized subset of address matching for updating Surrey addresses, but my impression has been that not many imports are waiting on this step.

The only talk on the list of an import was your mention of wheelchair accessible public toilets, but this never proceeded as far as a proposed import and the questions raised on list were never answered.

I note that one of the steps you propose is importing to OpenStreetBugs. I am not sure OSB is well-suited for data like this. Skobbler has mapdust for their specialized reports and it seems to me that something specialized would be best-suited.

You also propose adding a new node when there is a tag conflict (e.g. amenity=restaurant and amenity=cafe). This seems like a bad idea and is the same as importing over existing data.

The page does give me some ideas for when I take up address work again.
