Dear Lulu-Ann,
It is very easy to be enthusiastic about data that seems so useful.
Please be sure to follow the import guidelines and the automated edit
guidelines as shown in the wiki. I hope that you will also get
agreement from the general population of the OSM community in the
effected area. You must have agreement of the community before
importing data. Please consider testing the data on the dev server
first, so that many may inspect if for quality / accuracy, etc.
I see your listing for this data in the import/catalogue,
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import/Catalogue
Is this data truly, just a list of addresses without coordinates? If
so, some interesting mapping and technical challenges exist. This
data might be much better suited for use like Quality Assurance layer.
Perhaps these addresses can be shown, as interpreted by nominatim,
inviting a local mapper to confirm and place the object in the correct
location?
Best regards,
Richard.
