Hi Frank, and welcome.
Please consider joining the talk-ca list for topics relating to
uniquely Canadian aspects of OSM. There are also IRC channels for
general OSM talk and for Canada-specific stuff.
Melville, SK, eh? Awesome.
We've been really fortunate to have a great relationship with the
national mapping agency in Canada (Natural Resources Canada), so we
already have access to some good data in Melville (and other places in
Canada). There also appears to be some decent aerial imagery for
Melville. I just added a few baseball (softball) diamonds in the
north west of Melville.

So, we already have some data. Your city may have more that we will
find interesting, and that would be great.
We'll want to settle the license stuff. We can probably discuss that
off-line.
And there will have to be discussion about how to proceed after that.
The key thing, as I see it, is that you are in Melville and you are
participating in OSM. Fantastic. And again, welcome.
