You don’t need to change to receive every mail. Digests are there for people who do not want a lot of emails in their inbox. However, the correct way to deal with emails if you get a digest is to:

1. Copy the subject line of the thread to the subject line of the reply
2. Makre sure you put “Re:” in front of it.
3. Edit the driest down to just the message you want to reply to.
