  1. sample data can be found on the same OSM WiKi page which has been slighlty updated on "Data description" section, there you will find the link of the the raw data which was in shapefile format compressed to geojson files.
  2. Just to clear your doubts and worry Fred, this work of producing these datasets was done under the experienced and well-trained supervisors from the department of spatial planning at Ardhi University.

As described the purpose was to be used in street naming system and house numbering system, Well, we are quite aware of the fact that whoever the trace of the building does not matter in street code naming system but i guess you should be aware of "The Lyman or Salt Lake City System" popularly known as "griding" where each footprint was given a unique ID from the griding patterns, and that unique ID would mean the House number for each building footprint.

1. Can we see a sample of the data?

2. You say that these over 500.000 building footprints have been created
by students in three months. Can we know more about the focus and
quality requirements of this digitizing activity? You write that "The
purpose of these data was to be used in a street code naming system." -
I would imagine that if you only need it for a street code naming
system, the actual quality of a building trace (too big, too small,
three corners, five corners, not rectangular...) would not matter. So I
am worried that perhaps the quality might not be sufficient for OSM use.

Bye
Frederik
