There must be something I missed. Dragging the mouse creates a
box. It doesn't matter if you go right to left or left to right, it
is the same box. Why do you need to draw the box one way or the
other to prevent "unwanted" nodes?
Actually, it would be nice to have the ability to select items by
polygon. Many drawing packages have that as working with free form
shapes often does not match well with selecting with rectangles. But
the merging of select groups makes it all work pretty well. However,
I do see the utility of inclusive vs. exclusive selection boxes.
