Hi Peter,

Welcome to the project and to JOSM development.

Sadly, I don't think we can use your plugin because of the Google Map's
usage agreements, as you said. Furthermore, we even can have legal problems
with Google and so we may be forced to delete *all* the data created by any
user that have *ever* used this plugin. Please, don't give access to this
plugin to other people until we have an agreement with Google, the same way
we have an agreement with Yahoo to use its satellite imagery.

However, any help with other aspects of JOSM development or plugins for it
are welcome.
