[josm-dev] New "add node" action

Hi,
I added a method in the "edit" menu to add a new node by entering
its lat/lon manually. It seems there is demand for this at least among
users in Germany (no simple map clicking for a nation of engineers, it's
just too imprecise!).
I always thought that we might one day have something like a "data view"
where the data is presented not on a map but in a kind of spreadsheet.
This would of course have been a cooler way to add the desired
functionality - want a new node, just create a new row on the "nodes"
sheet! But I wasn't in the mood for two days of coding so this is all we
get.
Can someone outline how we are supposed to deal with keyboard shortcuts?
I just gave my new method a "VK_D" but it seems I've upset things and
the "duplicate" action has now been moved to another shortcut.
What's the recommended way for a developer to assign shortcuts? Should
lesser actions perhaps be left without one?
Bye
Frederik
