[josm-dev] problems with saving files in JOSM

Hello,

A month or so ago I reported a bug with saving OSM files in JOSM 
(version from 2007-12-29). Basically, neither the "Save" or "Save As" 
seem to function after the first saving of newly downloaded OSM data 
(I'm running it on Windows, by the way). The files does get a new 
date/time, but when I compare it with the backup file, it is identical, 
even though I added new nodes and ways into it.
Since I didn't get any response to the previous mail, I'm writing again. 
It would be nice to have this fixed, since I've just released a new map 
rendering engine (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Kosmos) which 
is able to draw maps from OSM files and it enables immediate viewing of 
JOSM-edited changes even before uploading to the OSM server. But since 
the OSM files does not seem to get updated by JOSM (maybe I'm doing 
something wrong?), this is currently not possible.
