Well, yes. The analyzer was inspired by an idea to be able to export
relations as GPX tracks for GPS devices. This makes sense mainly with the
cycle routes. 
But the analyzer also can be used for other relations that require a
continuous connection of ways.

IBHO, the concept of relations is quite fragile. Not many users understand
or use it. Therefore relations are often (probably unintentionally) getting
disconnected. Just a few days ago somebody was editing this area
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=49.3605&lon=9.0977&zoom=13&layers=00B0FTF
) and disconnected the Neckartalweg on a length of 2km. 

I'm going to have a look at the validator plugin. Maybe the analyzer can be
integrated into it.
