Hi!
Over the past hours (days?), I've tried to improve the general
usefulness of the panels on the right side.
The former logic to click a button on the left side to hide/show panels
on the right side seemed rather unintuitive to me and was mentioned
accordingly on talk-de.
I've just checked in (SVN 1229):
a) add a normal/minimized display mechanism, with "triangle icon" (click
on the icon of the title to normalize/minimize the panel content). State
will be saved in the preferences.
b) display number of active items in title
c) show title bold if panel has "active items"
d) add close "X" button
(b and c currently not implemented in the various plugins - but easy to
do so)
Please have a look and give feedback.
Next steps (if I don't get real negative response):
1) I'll have a look at the plugins in svn ...
2) add toggle menu items to View/Panel (someone with a better name?)
3) think about good defaults for normal / minimized panels
4) remove the toggle icons for the panels from the toolbar?
Regards, ULFL
P.S: I've thought about implementing resizable panels, but this is a lot
more complicated to implement and a PITA if you resize your window size.
So I started with a minimize mechanism ...
P.P.S: I'm unsure if i did i18n right, but doesn't look too bad ;-)
