After updating JOSM to 1746 (wmsplugin still 16363) it worked. But
download is still slow. It took 1:20 min for the first tile showing up.
About 40 seconds later the second tiled was displayed. The rest showed
up with a delay of 10-15 seconds.

Here is the output from the console:
---***---
D:\Program Files\JOSM>C:\Windows\system32\java.exe -jar -Xmx1024M
"d:\Program Files\josm\josm-latest
.jar"
loading DirectUpload
loading lakewalker
loading openstreetbugs
loading utilsplugin
Silent shortcut conflict: 'tools:jumpto' moved by 'tools:uploadtraces'
to 'Strg+Umschalt+G'.
loading validator
loading wmsplugin

Unfortunalely wmsplugin doesn't log anymore to the console.

I don't think it is a hardware- or network problem. HW is 2 month old
(Intel Core2 Quad 2.7GHz, 4GB RAM) and download- and surfingspeed is
normal. Images on Yahoo-Maps and Google-Maps show up in normal time.

Any more idea where the bottleneck could be?
