[josm-dev] Missing data after upload - only points, no street/way

This sounds very like another problem I have sometimes when the OSM server is 
overloaded: When uploading things I sometimes abort the upload if it takes too 
long. When I save the OSM data to a file afterwards the node/way/relation which 
upload was in progress has no action=modify anymore while the outstanding 
changes are still taged as action=modify. Checking the OSM database shows that 
the data was not changed anyway.

I assume therefore, that JOSM sets the status to 'uploaded' (or whatever) 
before the upload is started and ignores the return code.
