That would only be possible if the rules actually were crystal clear, which
they are not, so we work on a best effort basis.
The more I read about the whole issue, the more I get the feeling that the
best thing to do is to throw away the entire history and start creating new
objects for everything one touches. OTOH, this is aburd as well, of
course...
On a more positive note, is the code which generates these nice overviews
available somewhere?
