Are you sure it was not old (and deprecated) multipoly-convert plugin?

You can disable moving tags in advanced preferences (last Tab of F12): multipoly.movetags=false or ignore specific tags:
multipoly.lineartagstokeep ("barrier" and  "source" by default).

The best option is to use "New" button of reltoolbox plugin ( Multi  button moves tags) and press "!" button (way without role) to fix inners.
