It does look useful. I will try it more as soon as I can.

I don't know the best option but syncing waffle.io columns from & to github
labels sounds nifty.

I may joke a bit but options 1/2/3 are all good proposals so why not 1+2+3:

+ Automatically sync from/to labels assigned in Github;
+ by certain people designated or all coordinators (but anything regarding
priority can be discussed in WG meetings or this mailing list);
+ with general guidelines clear enough so that anyone *could* sort them.

Maybe the developers from hotosm/osm-tasking-manager2 could give us hints
and good practices.
