Everytime we have to ask, we lose people (when email we send them lands 
in the spam folder etc.); plus it is a lot of work; plus people will

Contrary to popular opinion, not every one of our contributors actually 
likes reading through legalese emails and participating in web voting.

About 99% of our contributors will actually be annoyed by us showing 
down these explanations down their throats, and expecting them to spend 
valuable lifetime to understand the pros and cons of X different licenses.

I don't concur.

I fail to see how more individual choice should achieve that.
