Warning: I am not a lawyer

Some imagery sources are fully open. For example
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Geoportal.gov.pl aerial imagery
is provided without any restrictions on its use.

Some other data sources are similarly open.

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Editor_Layer_Index - has index that includes licenses

I am unsure about situation for some cases that allowed use
specifically for OSM mapping - is it including also documentation?

When I researched it last time I found following:

Bing:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:Bing_license.pdf

"The rights that you have under this agreement are limited solely
to aerial imagery use in a non-commercial online editor application
of OpenStreetMap maps"

so only minimal and accidental use of Bing imagery would be allowed
on OSM Wiki (for example photo of people doing something OSM related
with JOSM opened on one of computers and set to using Bing imagery)
See
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:De_minimis
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_minimis

that would fit
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Template:Bing_image_portions

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

on the other hand we have
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Template:Bing_image
and
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:P2-osm.png
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:143_2p.png
suspicious to me and probably should be deleted
(please, please let me know whatever I am right here)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And additionally
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/File:Wrong_offset_ru3.jpg
is likely case of fair use as it is not replaceable example of offset in Bing
(is it a correct interpretation of fair use?)
