[Local-chapters] Membership schemes between OSMF and local chapters

Hi everyone,

We just finished a discussion on IRC regarding the possible membership
schemes between OSMF and future local chapters. A log of the IRC

There are 3 possibilities:
1. Local chapter members automatically become OSMF members
2. OSMF members automatically become chapter members in their respective regions
3. Separate membership schemes

Based on the discussion, the consensus seems to be for option 3.

We would like to open the discussion to the local-chapters mailing list.

Does anybody have any other thoughts?
