i was not participating in the local chapters discussion and conference 
calls
at the time, but i was involved in the founding of the US chapter and 
did hear
a bit about it and some of the concerns. i just reviewed the draft and 
thinking
back to those discussions, the agreement doesn't really talk about anything
the local chapters get from OSMF other than permission to use the 
trademarks.

it may be that the agreement doesn't need to talk about what the chapters
and OSMF do for each other, but it would be nice to see some discussion
about what such things might be, whether they're incorporated into the
agreement or not.
