Man, I'm not a newbie in programming. That's actually my day-to-day job.
For your information, we are officially at 4.4.0 since about may 1st, 4.4.1
since july 31st..

Actually there's not really a need to own a phone to do development, simply
> use the qvfb and build for x86 target.
The fact is that opensource programming is people having a need,
implementing it, and sharing it for the good of everybody. I don't know if
there is much OS programmers doing stuff just to please other people.
Sorry pal, but what would be my incentive to spent time porting Merkaartor
to Qtopia?
If it's so easy, you're welcome to submit patches, as I'm assuming you own
such a device.
