[OSM-newbies] New Subscriber

Thank you Richard,
My problem is that someone has previously mapped part of the area I am
dealing with but has simplified country lanes by making them a series of
straight lines. A road which is in fact very winding is now inaccurately
presented.
I need to add track points and give the road its true character.
I find I cannot add points. I can drag the existing points but that does
not do the job.
The search you suggest does not help me.
Any hints would be appreciated.
