Ah, that annoys me too!

In Potlatch (the online, Flash editor) you can add a point by holding  
shift and clicking at the right point in the way. You can then drag  
the point. A timesaving tip - you do not need to release the point to  
drag it: you can hold shift, click on the way, then drag until it's in  
the right place, and only then release the mouse button.

about this and some of the other keypresses you can use.
