[OSM-newbies] Fallen at the First Hurdle

Hi,

I signed up for an openstreetmap account (not the wiki) whilst at the
Richmond mapping party. I received the confirm your e-mail address
e-mail (shown below) but the confirm link does not work, I just get
the error message "Something went wrong confirming that user.".

I looked through the wiki and the contact pages but couldn't find any
information on what to do if you can't create an account, so I'm
posting this here in hope of some help.
