I've just requested an update of the tiles at home / osmarender layer for this 
area.

If you put the following URL into your browser and chose the Osmarender 
layer (expand the + sign at the top right of the map) you should see a road 
called "The Parkway" has been rendered, this appears to be the only way 
currently in the area, though I do note some more GPX traces, not yet 
converted to ways.

I'm afraid I can be of no help on Merkator, I use JOSM
