To get the data to show up on the map you need to request that the relevant squares (tiles) be re-rendered. To do this, open the informationfreeway website, ensure that you're zoomed in at level 12 (you can see the level in the bottom-right of the browser), find the square you wish to have re-rendered and click the square whilst holding down the CTRL key. You should receive a message to confirm that you wish to re-render that square, and advising you that it may take a little time before it's ready.

You should also be aware that, by default, the informationfreeway website downloads the tiles from a number of caches, rather than directly from the main server. This is to keep the load on the main server down. These caches might therefore still have an old copy of the tile. To request an up-to-date copy from the main server, click the "+" in the top-right of the informationfreeway website and choose "tiles at home (direct)" from the list, instead of "The Map".

On the tips side, whilst these aren't specific to mapping a capital, I'd suggest:
- Try to get the main roads mapped first. Then fill in the gaps between them one segment at a time. I find it's easier to work with a framework that I can use a point of reference.
- If there is anybody else working in the area then make contact with them, such that you don't end up duplicating your work.
- If there are tall buildings around then you might require more than one pass with your GPS to get a clean signal.
- Persuade a friend to come along when mapping. It's more fun when there is more than one of you.
- I find that mapping with a bicycle is more convenient. You can stop and start easily. You can walk down footpaths with it, etc.
- When turning corners, try to slow down for them a bit more, such that they are more easily visible in your GPS traces. Also, be aware that you might "cut" off a corner when turning out of a wide junction. So, see whether you can also turn the corner in the opposite direction, to get a more accurate representation.
- Most importantly: Have fun!

Hello Everyone,
I'm a newbie and I've started to map Dhaka (capital of Bangladesh).  I've
uploaded my OSM data  file last sunday (23rd Sept.) from JOSM.  However, I
still don't see anything  on openstreetmap or on
http://www.informationfreeway.org/.  Any idea?

Also my OSM file start to get quite big, is it any way to break it down. 
I was considering to break it down in different area.  I know I should
just download the data from openmap, but as there is nothing showed yet,
what should I do?

Last, there are so many emabssies in my area, any tags for this?
